Benjamin Roberts

Benjamin Roberts is an American historian and journalist, based in Amsterdam with a Ph.D from the University of Groningen. He is specialized in cultural history of the Dutch Golden Age and particularly life phases. Roberts has published extensively on childhood and youth culture. He is the author of Sex, Drugs, and Rock ‘n’ Roll in the Dutch Golden Age (autumn 2017), More Sex, Drugs, and Rock ‘n’ Roll in the Dutch Golden Age. Fatherhood and Masculinity in the Seventeenth Century (2018), and is currently working on a manuscript Old Age in the Dutch Golden Age.
